A percentage of proceeds from Mama Makeover events, such as a raffle, will benefit the local nonprofit Baby Blues Connection, which works to provide support, information and resources to women and families coping with pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders.
Last year's Mama Makeover winner, chosen from about 200 applicants, was "so depleted that one of her goals was actually to gain weight," said Mamalates' Wendy Foster. The winner, who successfully gained 19 pounds, is helping with this year's contest

The mission of Mama Makeover is to give back to one lucky mama in our community (the Portland-metro area) so that SHE can give even more to her own family. This is not your usual nip and tuck makeover; it is a holistic, integrated approach to wellness and a unique, integrated and FUN event for Portland area mothers and businesses.
It takes a village to help mamas restore balance, get fit, gain perspective and rest AND reinvent themselves so that they can THRIVE. In our second year, many Portland area professionals and businesses are contributing their talents and services to incorporate a variety of modalities in this event. Our desire is to encourage mamas, who spend so much time giving to others, to take care of themselves! As a mother, if you feel good – grounded, strong and healthy – you can more fully participate in your role and job. This is an opportunity to offer support and help a special mama fill back up, transforming her from the inside out. IS THAT MAMA YOU? Read more to find out…

We have tremendous gratitude for the services offered by the
